Bob, you cut to the heart of the matter. The rest of us have for too long paid the taxes the pols and their accomplices dispense with for favored businesses and buddies. It's past time for corporate welfare to go away entirely nationwide.

Business talks about competition. Well then, compete for business, not public money in the form of tax favors by governments. And compete for that business the old fashioned way by locating in areas that make sense from a competitive marketplace standpoint.

The Presidential and Congressional election results speak for themselves. Americans are fed up with crony capitalism and crony government. Perhaps if we can end that at the state level in FL, we can do so in Walton County as well.

Mr. Imfeld, whatever his qualifications for the job at EDA, was soiled by the crony process that produced his hiring. That kind of activity is also taxpayer funded and a prime example of cronyism near its worst. It has brought us to the present sorry state of affairs in Walton County in particular.
