It may seem early to be planning for spring however it is just around the corner and we want to have an excellent staff ready to go. We will need personnel to manage our rental locations as well as guides to host our eco-tours. We believe that our guests will get the best experience possible if our tours are tailored to fit the knowledge and personality of our guides. That is why we want to meet you now. Our guides will be directly involved in the planning and scheduling of the tours we offer next season.
Our staff must be lifeguard certified (by next season). We are looking for folks who love people as well as the outdoors. Duties will include things such as checking in the guests, getting waivers signed, properly fitting lifejackets, giving riding tips and making minor adjustments to the bikes for each guest. After tours/rentals the boats will need rinsed and chains will need to be oiled (we use a biodegradable oil). Lifejackets and such will need to be stowed and boats must be locked up.
A little about Hydrobikes: They are best described as a bike frame on pontoons and operate much like a traditional bike. Aeronautical engineer, Ray Buresch, designed the propulsion system to be efficient and easy. Cruising speed is about 5 miles per hour and takes about as much effort as walking but they can go up to 10 mph if you want to work a little harder. Hydrobikes are eco-friendly and made in the USA. Plus they can be ridden in as little as 18 inches of water as well as handle 4 foot swells. As you can see Hydrobikes are quite versatile! (By the way, we also sell Hydrobikes). Our website is still under construction but you can see the bikes in action here http://emeraldcoasthydrobikes.com/
If you think this is the job for you, please send me an email. tami@echydrobikes.com
If you are lifeguard certified and want to work now, contact us. We may have a spot for you.
