Farewell Gang

Miss Kitty, tell all...what did Mr. Kitty do that caused you to buy your place at WaterColor? He is such a sweet one, I cannot imagine. I really enjoyed talking with him on Saturday night. We must get together sometime when Mr. Conch Out is along, because I think they would get along well. Mr. Conch Out is a quiet one, but when he does opine, you can take it to the bank. He is a great observer, possessor of a quiet humor, and my rock.

He sounds wonderful.

:lolabove: ...that was funny Donna! I simply left him working in the cottage we were renting one summer day and drove up and down 30A gathering real estate materials....put them in a stack next to his documents and went to bed. The next morning he says..."why don't we go look at some of these places".

Miss Kitty, our purchase of Conch Out wasn't much different. We had been alternately staying in a family home and renting at Seaside for years. One year, we killed some maximum sun exposure time by looking at three houses in Grayton Beach. Two reasonably sized houses had no Gulf view, one of them was in a hole. When we were shown Conch Out, Mr. and I laughed and laughed. We spent 10 minutes in there and left. When we returned to CA, could not think of a reason why we should not buy that house. The soon-to-be Mr. Conch Out was nuts for it. We had to get the agent to go over and video the house, because we couldn't remember an entire floor!

The long/short of it, we made an offer and closed in less than three weeks and have never regretted it. We have packed that house to the rafters with friends and family, celebrated anniversaries and birthdays and Christmas/New Year's, recovered from the most heartbreaking loss there, and I can't tell you how many girlfriends I have beach solaced when their worthless husbands sailed away as soon as the last child left the nest :banging:

FYI, I love the shoes gig, too. Be sure you check out that little shop next to Starbucks in Uptown Grayton Plaza next time you're down there. They have funn duds and the cutest shoes, including J. Pliner's.
