Favorite Christmas Movies and Television?

[Minnie]

Just watched White Christmas on AMC(?) and I cry like a baby every time I see it--the musical number at the end with the troops has got to be one of the sweetest scenes of any movie, ever. They're playing it all day and all night, if you haven't caught it yet!

We'll follow the old man... La la la lala la!

I love the closing scene of it too. I also love the scene in the Kranks when Tim Allen goes over to his neighbor and gives them the Caribbean cruise.

WTF! Saw the human version of the Grinch last night w/ Jim Carrey - good thing Dr. Suess is dead or that would have done ir! Pretty sure the mayor of Whoville kissing the Grinch's dog's BUTT was not part of the book!

Long live the animated version!

Yes hollywood has made mockeries of Dr. Seuss's prose. The old Grinch cartoon with Boris Karloff is awesome. My daughter and I recite lines back and forth. The live action films, especially The Cat in the Hat, are so far outside the spirit of his work- it's really astounding.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is thoughtful and very well done, even though I am not religious I appreciate it's sincerity. A Christmas Story is my favorite live action holiday movie because I love the cynicism and wit.
