"Rent" opens in theaters on November 23. Can't wait! We see the musical every time we go to NYC. We've played the soundtrack in the car about a kajiliion times - my daughter and I know all of the words. Don't get me wrong - we're all totally straight in this family, but we love the music and the energy in "Rent." The movie can't be as good as live, but cheaper than a trip to NYC.

BTW Christmas is a recurring theme in the play.

"525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love.
Seasons of love."

Oh and then there is a very very sad cartoon called "Small One" based on a children's book, about an old donkey who carried Mary to the manger.

A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, the original Grinch and A Charlie Brown's Christmas are our favorites. Oh and Rudolph too!
