Feeling old yet?

New posts
I still have my original Walkman-1. I figure it will be a collector's item someday. And yeah, I'm feeling old. I'm still waiting for the Beatles to re-unite...

I'm not feeling old, I'm feeling ancient.

I saw that too. Ringo really stole the show. They said that when they do get together, they feel the spirit of John and George with them. That's good enough for me.

I wish cassettes had never been invented. I really wish there had been an 8-track Walkman.

My first Walkman played vinyl...man, did I have to run smoothly !

Woah...feeling old. I vividly recall the grueling weekly task of mowing my parent's 4 acre backyard, which was more like pushing 75 lbs of deadweight through a rock quarry. The single consolation was my trusty Walkman and mix tapes of everything from Def Leppard, The Rolling Stones, The Bangles (yes, I aimed to "Walk Like an Egyptian") to The Cure.

I am, however, grateful for my Internet-free childhood which meant spending my days in nature, endlessly riding my bike, climbing trees, exploring, and hand-writing letters to pen pals and family.

I had an underdash reel-to-reel in my car. If you think texting while driving is bad, try threading tapes.
