First time driver: closest place for driving test

Lord help me, it's time for Jr. Critter to get his license. (Actually, he's nearly 17, so it's past time.) Where's the best place for him to perform his driving test? De Funiak? We're sowallers. I'm guessing De Funiak's traffic is easier to manage than Ft. Walton's.

Part of me does not want him out there. Another part wants someone to send to Publix for milk. Typical mom dilemma? :roll:

Panama City Beach. Div. of Motor Vehicles is in the Town Hall complex at the corner of 98 and 79, on the southwest side. We have always had fast service. Don't forget to bring passport or birth certificate. I'm assuming Critter Jr. has a learner's permit and that he has already taken the online drug and alcohol course (required before getting permit I think).
