We have a Starbucks in the store and it's wrapped around the Micheal Kors section. There are TONS of ppl in line. Mine by my place was pretty mild.

That's why I've never gotten started with Starbucks. Didn't want to start a habit, because I really like a good cup of coffee. However, I had to walk to the post office today and it's across the street so I stopped in for my freebie.

I am bowled over by the excellent customer service! The guy at the counter not only poured a cup for me but asked if I wanted one for a friend (I did, actually, and she wasn't in the store with me, so it was a good guess on his part that I'd want an extra cup). He put the coffee in a carry tray and gave a few samples of their pumpkin bread, which tastes as good as what I make at home. It's been ages since I've seen customer service like this. I think Starbucks--at least the Starbucks in my neighborhood--has made a new customer. :clap_1: And that's alright. ;-)

Starbucks has always been the best, imo. Great customer service, like Nordstrom. You never want to go anywhere else. I'll pay more for good service.

I really like Starbucks' business plan- they manage to treat their employees well by service industry standards and still be very profitable. I just wish I liked their coffee better. I'm a supertaster, and find their coffee intolerably bitter unless they add a lot of sugar or chocolate to it. So I usually end up at Joe Muggs inside Books-a-Million, Bad A$$, or Emerald Coast Coffee instead because they've gotten the bitterness down to tolerable levels.

They make different roast using different beans and some are more acidic than others.;-)

Customer Service -- Always excellent and with a smile.

Employee treatment, I have thought about working there several times, but they are a bit too corporate for me still. They do pay full medical benefits to all employees working more than 20 hrs per week, and that is something you don't see often in the corporate world, not even with small businesses.

Stock? I have owned it for several years and it continue to grow, and the business and customer service seems to keep up with the growth.

Beachmouse, you are now hooked on crack! :D... sucker! ;-)

It?s probably the worst morning ever to be latte-fetching assistant: Starbucks is giving out free cups of coffee from 10 AM to noon today as part of its first-ever National Coffee Break. Why, how wonderful for New Yorkers ? we could really benefit from some Starbucks brand-awareness, as if we all weren?t tweaked enough as is.

The company?s partners will take coffee to some patrons who can?t make it in, using innovative, mobile-sampling ?Venti Vans? and insulated coffee backpacks.

It?s like spring break for grown-ups ? but instead of a Mexican with a camelbak full of tequila, we get a cherub-faced barrista with a backpack full caffeine shoving Arabian Mocha Sanani down your throat.

Did anyone see the Venti Vans!?!?

What I want to know is why can't the Starbucks employees get their coffee break from 10a-12p like everyone else? Does that seem like a really long coffee break to you guys?

WARNING: Do not view the following clip regarding Starbucks Coffee Break while consuming beverages that you do not wish to be sprayed out of your mouth and onto your computer screen! , or when young, tender ears are around. This guy has a bit of a potty mouth.

Caution: NFW , save it til you get home and cover your kids ears.

You have been warned!
