Just announced: The entire team (save for the lone senior) will be back next year. :clap_1: :clap_1:

Being a Georgian by birth, but a Gator by choice, hearing this news puts me in Ge-orgia-sm mode!

IMHO Joakim should have gone pro. I mean, how can he ever surpass SEC Champs, NCAA National Champs, and MVP of the tourney? But for selfish reasons as a Gator fan, I'm glad he's staying at THE University of Florida.

True about Joakim, but surely you have noted that next year's Final Four (not that there are any guarantees) is in the ATL next year? ;-) Who knows, it may still be chilly enough for your orange fur!!

If it's under 70 degrees, I'll be wearing the orange fur. Actually I taught class in it the Monday after we made the Final Four. I was a bit warm, but it was worth it.

BTW my husband's company did the carpet for the Gator locker rooms. Here's a photo of the football locker room.

Yeah, yeah...that will just make it all the SWEETER when LSU whoops ya like three or four times next year on the hardwood, not to mention the two or three whuppins on the football field and lord knows how many on the baseball diamond, track, golf course, tennis court, equestrian ring, curling ice, squash arena, pool, gym or anywhere else a buncha kids with an orange and blue lizard head on the uniform might field a team. OK, fine, you can have curling. :floor:

Some people are just so hateful. There's a big difference between being positive for your team and negative towards others'. I'm totally into being positive for the Gators. If someone wants to get off on slamming the Gators or someone else's team, then I wish them fun doing that. I'm not into that - I'm just a fan *for* my team, not *against* anyone else.
