Gator Scum!

Remember last year the Quincy Walk-on FB player(Michel Guilford) and the former Volleyball player from Lynn Haven(Ashley Solnina) that were killed in an accident in Gainesville?

Read the article about a Gator player(now former) James Hornsby who used her credit card (alot) after she was killed. POS

They need to feed him to the Gators!

How sad!

Universities also need to be more careful about the type of young men or women that they recruit. Sometimes the hot heads don't change.

That's a whole new level of disrespectful and crime committing athlete. Hope he enjoys the weight training in jail and they aren't stupid enough to let him plead this out considering it isn't the first illegal or criminally stupid thing he's done!

The thread title implies that all Gators (students, faculty, staff, athletes, fans, etc.) are scum. I take offense to that. How many college athletic programs in contention for top Div. I athletic rankings haven't had a bad apple?

The person who committed this crime isn't a Gator -- he was kicked off the Gator team as soon as this info became public. The Gator Nation doesn't support thugs like that, and we don't appreciate being disparaged due to guilt by association. Neither do any other "Nations" who have an athlete who has gone awry.

I thought Arkiehawg was very upfront about the fact that this guy is no longer a member of the team because of his actions and didn't criticize anyone but the offender.

A bad apple? It took them swearing out a warrant on 70 counts of credit card fraud in 2 counties (the first less than 24 hours after the victim's death) for him to get kicked off the team.

I see what you're saying, but if you were a Gator fan, wouldn't you be insulted by the title of this thread?

I'm outta this thread -- a no-win situation.

BR,

I apologize if you were offended. It wasn't to slam all of Gator Nation. If I wanted to do that I would have stated "ALL GATORS ARE SCUM".

Stating that, there are bad apples with many programs....more than one can name. This happened to be at UF and YES, HE WAS a Gator FB player when he did this disgusting act.

I'm not smart enough to know how to change the title of the thread, but if I could, I would just for you....

Thanks, honey!

I have enough confidence in the coach that this was no coverup. I believe that as soon as he knew, he kicked the guy off the team. I don't see disparaging the Gators just because of one bad apple. This kind of stuff has happened on many college football teams. If there had been a coverup, that would be a different issue.
