George Barnes of Smiling Fish is New Director of Operations at 723 Whiskey Bravo

We were sad to see Smiling Fish at Gulf Place close recently after a great run of 13 years. A lot of good times and great food were had on the corner of Scenic 30A and 393.

Very excited about this collaboration! Wonderful opportunity for Barnes to showcase his New Orleans inspired- Gulf Coast fare in the beautiful surroundings of 723 Whiskey Bravo! Wishing the Moore's and Barnes great success, and look forward to February when changes will be official.

So excited to hear this news! We absolutely love the property but haven't been so happy with the food. We are less than a mile from WB and want to call it our local hangout for games etc. Saw the news on twitter of the new recipe for wings. Can't wait to try them!

So happy to hear this news! We have tried 723 repeatedly since day 1 and have had nothing but terrible customer service and disappointing food. I know George can make this a success. He may need to start with a new crew.

Feel like it will be a winning combination for everyone! A great chef and restauranteur, aligned with a savvy business couple, located in a beautiful building with gorgeous views, less than a mile form my house to boot! Fingers crossed until February!!
