Girlscout cookies anyone????

New posts
Some people do buy the cookies to eat the cookies. However, there are many people who buy the cookies because the girls are too cute to turn down. You just cannot break a little girl's heart.

"Hey Mister," says the little Daisy Scout in a sad voice with a look of disappointment, "Do you really want to see me cry? :( You must buy my cookies or I will be very sad for the rest of the day."

OK. It is settled. You are now the cookie mom for our troop.:clap_1: :floor:

I refuse to take Kate on door-to-door sales calls anyway. Good grief- she is only 5 years old. Talk about burning out a young salesperson at a young age!! However, she will help me deliver cookie orders and thank the buyers in person, which to me is the more valuable lesson at this age- showing gratitude and appreciation.

Good mommy skills. :clap_1:

She will really sell those suckers if she mentions to all perspective customers that they must never eat cookies since they are so thin but perhaps they would like to buy them as gifts. This is known as the Eddie Haskell technique. Good luck! Girl Scouts love me. I personally have been known to eat a whole box of frozen thin mints for supper. I was trying to get them out of the house before my diet started the next day.
However I don't advise doing this.

I can see our meeting now- "Girls, this is a story about a boy named Eddie Haskell, and today we are going to learn the art of BS."

Cookies do sell for different prices in different areas. I work in Illinois near the Wisconsin border - last year I bought some from a co-worker that lived in Wi and paid 3.00 - from the co-worker in Illinois I paid 3.50. I guess it is just like the real world - whatever the market will bear.

OK. It is settled. You are now the cookie dad for our troop.:clap_1: :floor:and she could be the helper......

Several of my co-workers have been selling them for a few weeks now. In the Chicago area we must have a very high cost-of-living; Girl Scout cookies are a whopping $4 a box!

Have you three ladies (I mean girls) hit the Publix stores yet. There are three in the area. ;-) Based on location of your homes, I am assigning the PCB to you, InletBchDwllr. Chickybaby, you get the WaterColor Publix, and Jen-nay, you are assigned the Sandestin location of Publix.

I've been told that the official policy at Publix is that they don't allow sales outside their stores here, even for Girl Scouts or Cub Scouts. Maybe you'll have better luck if you bring your cute girls along when you ask permission. The Cub Scouts have been successful in selling popcorn at some of the major intersections along 30A. Good luck!
