Good Morning SoWal!!!!!!!!!!!

New posts
I hosted a party last night for #4 and 40 of her closest friends. (Non-alcoholic party!) I have a pretty small house too. It was great and without incident until this morning when my kitchen faucet broke and water shooted up to the ceiling and all over the floor and cabinet. Happy New Year! The joys of home owning and being single. Now to Home Depot for a kitchen faucet which a friend of mine will install tomorrow. So much for cooking the greens and blackeye peas. Now I will go join some other friends who are cooking the traditional New Year's feast. Hope everyone has a great day and a great 2006!
PS I was the first post in 2006! Yea me! :clap_1:
Here's 50 cents so you can call someone who cares.

Ok... I have to go to bed now! :floor: I hope you ALL had a very safe and Happy New Year!!!! Can't wait to here what everyone did or didn't do!!!! Pictures are always welcome!! SJ... hope you are feeling better today! Oh, and I believe Miss Kitty comes home today?! I'll check in with my morning cup of joe later!!!! (much later, I'm sure) all of you!!!!

We didn't go out this year. We stayed home with the kids and watched the Stars lose (my son insisted and we do love hockey) and then we played some games and watched a movie that the kids picked out. We did have some awesome food from Central Market and many glasses of champagne!! I think the kids had a great time just hanging out and that's what really mattered tonight! I'm sure we assisted in waking up the neighborhood at midnight! We saw some fireworks down the street and heard others yelling and partying around the neighborhood. It was a Happy Mellow New Year for us this year!!!!! Alright 2006!!!! Bring it on!!!!!

CoS: Hope you've watered your yard with all those fireworks going on around you!

Mermaid danced on the bar at the red bar with the funns.

Done and done.

What else do you need to know?
You go, girls! I talked to Mermaid earlier in the day yesterday, she told me "the girls" were all coming over to make tinfoil crowns for NYE. Hope you had them on when you were on the bar!

We managed to make all the way to 12:02 wished each other Happy New Year, and anniversary (#26 today!) Then fled to the door and took the shuttle back to the hotel and died. Hopefully, we will be able to nap and take it easy and plot our way to SoWal for next NYE!!!!!!
Happy anniversary, GTTBM and GTTBD!

We had reservations for a big New Years Eve bash at Chateau Elan this year. We both woke up yesterday feeling somewhat like we'd been run over by a semi! Head, throat, queasy, yuck! We also had to attend a memorial service for a friend that passed away suddenly.

We got to the hotel and met up with the rest of the group. Visited with everyone for a while, took a nap, downed Sudafed and asprin and went to the party. We managed to make all the way to 12:02 wished each other Happy New Year, and anniversary (#26 today!) Then fled to the door and took the shuttle back to the hotel and died. Happy day to you guys. My husband has the same birthday. May you enjoy many more years together. It seems to me the longer I am married, the more fun it becomes.
