Good story.......

This reminds me of a flight I took a few years back with a co-worker. Our flight was delayed due to engine problems and the mechanics had the side cover taken off the engine and were taking things off and replacing things. The weather was bad an I was terribly nervous for some reason. I had flown many times but this one had me worried.

I had a couple gin and tonics at a Sam Adam's bar while we waited. As we boarded, my co-worker handed me two big, long pills and she said they would help out. What I failed to her her say was to break one into fourths and take a fourth. I instead, ate both of them like a couple of tylenol. She realized what I had done right as I washed them down.

Turns out I had taken a whole bunch of Xanax. Two 'ladders' as they are called. Whoops. When I woke up, we were landing and I managed to knock my drink over into the aisle. It was a long, slow walk to the rental car. I don't think I was right for about twelve hours.

Great story DD! Congrats on your nutty status! :D

THANKS to all of you! I didn't even notice til I read Miss Kitty's post! Glad you liked the story--I just thought it was so cool of that lady. The GA lady had her card, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name. She was a motivational speaker, actress, author, etc. from Dallas.

I attended a meeting today in Dallas which was also attended by people from New Hampshire, N.C., and Ga. The lady from Ga. had never flown before, so she relayed her experience.
She said she was soooo nervous about flying that she got to Atlanta early and then just had to wait and get more nervous. A lady that was on her same flight noticed her pacing and sweating, so she kinda took her under her wing. Told her to follow her--they went through security together, etc. Anyway, the Ga. lady had to go to the restroom and the nice stranger told her she'd be right there when she came out. When she returned, the lady had upgraded her to first class (paid for it) so they could sit together! When they got to Dallas, the lady helped her find her bags and get her pointed in the right direction to her hotel. Talk about paying it forward :clap_1:

Dam! There is some good carma headed that lady's way
