Thinking about Grayton Bayou, I remember back to when Pandora's and Grayton Corners was on the bayou. That is about as bayou as Grayton gets.
 
A land grant in 1896 signed by President Grover Cleveland in the Grayton area states "containing one hundred and sixty acres and eighteen hundredths of an acre."
 
Thanks, Scooterbug. Found that in a pirates chest in shipwreck off Deer Lake. Do understand BeachMamasFavs chagrin about how names are used around here.
