Love most of the usual - Marley - Buffett - but also like Jack Johnson - what beautiful lyrics - he is a surfer dude from Hawaii.

Mahalo Jack - love your music.

Good suggestion! My brother recently gave me one of his CDs. I had never heard of him but instantly got hooked on the music.

Perfect for a misty morning with waves crashing in the background, or for a quiet, smoky sunset:

"Veedon Fleece" album by Van Morrison.

Must be listened to in its entirety as a single piece of work. If this album doesn't move you, you got a hole in your soul. This is Van at his deepest. Not a beach party album, this one is for times when it's just you and the sea, or maybe just one other special someone along.

Bob Marley!

Wow! Excellent suggestions, all of them, and what a variety!

Absolute best beach music out and probably my favorite of any kind of music. I keep his CD playing in my jeep constantly. Another really good band if you have not checked them out yet is Wilco.

Ditto Jack Johnson.

Ditto Jack Johnson.

My teenage daughter is in LOVE with Jack Johnson. She saw him in concert--talk about one happy little girl!

See my avatar? That's her, with her arm outstretched saying, "Here Jack Johnson, sing to me, Jack Johnson..."
