Green Steel Homes

Has anyone heard of this company?

They are relatively new and based out of Tallahassee. Somewhat pre-assembled steel construction for around $100/ft. You get GC to do site prep and foundation work then they come in and build your house- construction time takes only 2-3 months. Supposedly they are working with an architect that has done several homes in Watercolor. I think right now they have 4 plans and are rolling more out shortly.

I've heard of Lawton Chiles (not the former Governer). Nice to see that he's moved on now that he's done raping the Gulf Coast.

But he is the former governor's son....

They were discussed briefly in this thread...

They have a model in Tallahassee in a community called Evening Rose.

The St. Teresa model was on the parade of homes in the Evening Rose subdivision in Tallahassee. The third bedroom was modified slightly to be used as either a den or a bedroom. We were VERY impressed with the design and construction.

The list price for the house and lot was $250,000. The salesman told us that the house would cost about $150,000 on our lot.
