I've been taking my family to the Destin/SoWal area since 1990. Booked for this August as well. Have enjoyed this forum as a lurker for years, thought I might as well register.

You are not without your trials and tribulations with weather, flooding, etc. in St. Louis. I worry about your area often. Lots of storms, flooding, etc. We just happen to be extraordinarly beautiful with some of the same problems that everyone else has.

And thanks for your concern. I believe in the power of prayer, and I hope that God is listening and that the environment (as well as our own selfish interests ) will be spared from the predictions as speculated by the media hype.
