Guarachi of South Walton, Miramar Beach Wins State Tennis Title

Alexa Guarachi, of South Walton and Miramar Beach, captured the state individual singles tennis title. Great story about Alexa and her family who live in Miramar Beach. She and her brother both attend South Walton High School.

The Northwest Florida Daily News reports Guarachi completed a "perfect season, defeating Carolyn Dailey of Sarasota 6-2,6-0 at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford to become the state individual singles champion."

What a way to win in Florida's tough competitive tennis world. Alexa is another shining star for South Walton.

South Walton High has really been racking up the accolades lately - in both sports and academics! Go Seahawks!! And congrats Alexa!

Part of the reason why she decided to play for South Walton this season was to give back to the school. Her brother Stefan has Down syndrome and attends South Walton, and Guarachi went this semester to graduate with him and his friends.
