Thanks for the well wishes. Right back at ya! Please say a prayer for my miniature dachshund Trixie. She is having back problems and the vet said yesterday to keep her inactive for 3 weeks (ha!) to fight against paralysis. Had to separate her from the other dogs and left her home alone for the first time in 7 years today. She's on steroids and muscle relaxers and is probably handling it better than I am. Sorry for rambling but am very sad.

I noticed y'all had a really great collection of unique doggy things, toys-collars-gifts of all kinds for pets not to mention all the eatable- chewable yummies that would be the perfect stocking stuffer for a favorite pooch!

Sending well wishes and prayers for your Trixie. We are in a similar boat with Miss Smoothie ... her symptoms came on fast ... not sure if you saw our post in the Health & Wellness section ....

Smoothie is 13 1/2 so getting loads of testing and MRI's is really not our best option. We were gifted with some information about a holistic vet that makes house and barn calls. We called her and she came out the same day to evaluate Smoothie. She treated her with acupuncture and aquapuncture, analyzed her diet and formulated a new one. In addition, we have a special herbal formula, vitamins, and antioxidants.

The day we called the doc, Smoothie could barely walk. She was "knuckling" and wobbling and very weak. After the docs treatment, we could not believe the changes in her that night. She was practically running around the house. We realize that it's not a cure all but the quality of her life is what's most important to us. She is still a little off balance, especially on uneven surfaces, but the improvement is dramatic and her spirit is completely back! She just had another treatment today ... we hope it continues to help. The doc has been so kind and compassionate and healing --- we can't say enough good things about her
