As far as Lenten sacrifice, I'm going to see if I can give up SOWAL.COM for forty days and nights. I can't give up anything practical like beer, meat or Wal-Mart, you know.

We are celebrating tonight at the NH. The residents all have masks, I've blown up and tied about 1000 balloons and they're having jambalaya, gumbo, red beans & rice, etc. We have some pretty cool beads too. But, I'm really hoping we don't get flashed for the beads.

As far as the Lenten sarifice, I'll have to get back to ya on that one.

I would think giving an entire NH that menu would be more than enough of a Lenten sacrifice. Good luck.

Baytowne had a mardi gras thing tonight. But, Stinky's had a friggin fantastic nola band (Bryan Lee) on Saturday night for their mardi gras weekend - that was my mardi gras celebration!!! dancing the night away with a bunch of crazy friends!!! I wish I was at Stinky's again tonight for mardi gras to hear the Steenos, Washboard Jax and Dread!

also, Forrest Williams Band at Hibiscus with Red Beans & Rice was happening earlier this evening! oh, wish I had been able to make that one too!
