Well, Paw Paw had a tussle with the turkey and sprained his thumb and we just got back from the ER!!! Not sure what happened, but he was holding up the turkey while HMM was seasoning the cavity and something snapped! We had a nice meal, iced his thumb and had dessert before we went. Like PawPaw says, old people are too old to handle being old! Of course, we had a hoot in the ER and all the nurses that came in said we were having too much fun to be in the hospital! Then we got home and saw that the Cowgirls had lost and well...just poot!!! Otherwise, food was good and the cleanup took like an hour!

Ouch! Hope Paw Paw feels better!

Glad you guys had a fun day anyway! I see your daughter has posted! What about Male Spawn?? Have a great evening SS and family!

Thanks for the good wishes for PawPaw....he has a neat splint with velcro straps that he said helped immediately in that it stabilized his thumb. It's his left hand thankfully! He refused any pain relievers...Greatest Generation!!

sara82 would be funn, but she works way too much to post often! MS would rather chew his arm off than post here....he says I need a life!!! Poor poor boy...he doesn't understand....I have a life, a SoWal life!!!!

Good to hear from you ladybug!!

Bless our PawPaw's. It's been a rough week for PawPaw's everywhere I guess.
I'm glad you got him all splinted up! I'll bet you made everyone's day in the ER. That's our Miss Kitty spreading sunshine and laughter where ever you go!!!!!

Sheshore, you made me laugh and laugh. I haven't heard the word "poot" in a long time...no much nicer than the alternative phrase, isn't it? :floor:

Every time my daughter sees me on SoWal.com, she screams, "MOM! Get off the damned message board!"
Mine do not scream, but shake their heads and laugh. One even registered to understand what I was doing since she left. :rolling: Ridicule goes a long way in keeping a person off the board. They have left, and it was wonderful having them home. Cannot wait until Christmas. For now, back to enjoying the board.
