Kimmi! A couple weeks ago when I first saw the "NFL boyfriend" thing, my first thought was that that stood for Not For Long Boyfriend. (thought it was some new term, but hey, i'm a baseball chick ;-)) i was gonna post that but thought it would sound wiseguy. Doh!

That said, give the guy a chance. Yes, it would have been incredibly romantic if he arrived on a crutch with one shoe clutching frozen roses, but hey, maybe he's really sick. He may be a keeper or a dumper, hard to tell with this though. My 3c.

Oprah had a guy on her show quite a while ago who wrote a book...some title that "He's just not that into you"...perhaps this applies here or perhaps not. I think you've had a lot of great advice from your friends here, and you also seem to be taking this guy's backing out with the appropriate grain of salt and not getting all bent out of shape over it. Great attitude! Good for you Miss Funn.
