Beach Comber
We're a family of three from Louisville, KY plus a recent college graduate living in the Cincinnati area. Headed to Seagrove in mid-June and can't wait! Last real beach vacation was FIVE YEARS AGO when our daughter graduated from high school, so we're super psyched. Went to Siesta Key then, have been to Destin three times over the last 25 plus years.
Staying at Beachcrest, really need the r & r. Was wondering about restaurants, the beach service at Beachcrest and any activities that would keep a 23 year old and an 18 year old from being bored.

Thanks to all!

You will love the Seagrove Beach area and the beach is the best part of 30-A. It's beautiful period! You'll be close to several good places to eat. For Italian food that's good and reasonable try Angelina's. The Saegrove Market Cafe is a fun and quick lunch or early dinner. Cafe 30-A is a bit more upscale but your "kids" are older so should enjoy as well. The Old Florida Fish House is just east about a mile. The Red Bar at Grayton is legendary. The bike paths are great for walking, running and biking. There is always something going on at Seaside or Watercolor in their common park areas. Hurricane's is a great place to do lunch or an early afternoon cocktail with some of their famous oysters. Sunsets are gorgeous from Bud & Alley's. I'm sad typing this cause I wish I were there now!!!!! Was down there about 3 weeks ago and tried J. C.'s off the Hook at Blue Mountain Beach where I was staying. It was really good and reasonable. Salads were super fresh and served very cold. Seafood was good. Service was ok but clearly they have a little room for improvement in that area. It wasn't horrible so I will go back. Another little thing my family likes to do is run over to Pompano Joe's for a lunch on the gulf. The food is consistently good but not fancy. Great Oyster Bar atmosphere. Beware of the Watercolor Publix unless you love shopping with 2,000 of your closest friends. (It can be a nightmare at times). Cooking your own seafood is the best though!!! I have left off hundreds of things to do because I'm really partial to just looking at the beach. Just enjoy yourself!!!
