Hello,

Very happy to have found this website. We (my husband and I) were actually planning to spend a week in Pensacola. We were taking our bikes and kept searching for neat bike trails----each Google search we found ourselves running into the 30A Trail and decided to cancel our Pensacola reservations and stay a week in Seagrove. We finalized our condo reservations and looking forward to our visit. Currently we will be in Seagrove 5/15 to 5/22.

Any information or tips gretly appreciated. One question I have is where to buy fresh seafood near Seagrove. Another is nearby entertainement and would also like to know if there are restaurants/bars that you can reach by walking down the beach from Seagrove.

Thanks!

Flip Flops in Seagrove has an awesome Mahi fish sandwich. La Botana is next to them and they sometimes have live music. Both within walking distance to the beach. Check out Destin Florida Vacation Rentals,Sandestin Beach Resort,Santa Rosa Beach Florida for bands/events info on 30a, when and where. There is a local theatre in Seaside that has plays. Seaside is right next to Seagrove.

Where in Seagrove? There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Seagrove and Seaside but your walk could be several miles depending on where you are. For seafood market check out Goatfeathers.

my input

I second the tip for Goatfeathers seafood market. I was impressed a couple of weeks ago when we were down.

Check out Louie Louie on 98 - not walking distance, you will need to drive but it is not far. A great addition to the scene. Louie Sr. will take great care of you!

Thanks---great info. We will just miss the Farmer's Market--planning to arrive at 2:30 and the market closes at 1pm. Do you know where we could pickup fresh produce? Thanks again for your tips.

Thank you for your reply. I will check out Goatfeathers. Staying in Time Out.

There is a "business, goods and services forum within this site that several locals advertise on. Another called Music and Nightlife that is visited heavily by local bars and restaurants. There will be way more to do than you'll have days to do them. You'll be back.....

I enjoy just riding and gawking along 30-A - west loop one day, east loop the next w/ lots of detours through the different communities.

My visitors also enjoy riding their bikes through Topsail (one of the best parks in the country).

Due to sandy feet and the %^$%&@ holes that people dig I would not recommend walking the beach at night to get to a destination - Seaside is easy to spot, others are more difficult if you are not very familiar. But be sure to have at least one night where you go to the beach and enjoy the stars (cans or plastic drink containers only).

Thanks! Very good safety tips. So no rules about being on the beach after dark?
