help? -building in a VE zone

I am looking for some information about Walton County potentially changing the requirements for building in a VE zone. This of course means changes to the comprehensive plan. Does anyone know about this? What's the status?

I suggest speaking to Pat Blackshear at Planning Dept, and someone in the higher ups at the Bldg Dept. Maybe even speak to Commissioner Cindy Meadows in regards to changing the Comp Plan.

May I also suggest that you enlist the services of a competent Coastal Engineer in the early decision making process as VE means that a property is subject to direct wave impacts in certain storm levels and they will be able to help you with determining your risk in how you develop your property.
