I recently injured my right knee, as an avid sportsman I am chomping at the bit to return my active lifestyle. I am seeking advice that might help expedite my recovery more quickly/thoroughly. Any docs or fellow knee survivors out there?
The injury: occured in a YOGA position--sitting on floor w/ knees fully bent, (heels next to hips) when I layed back--severe pain shot through my leg. The next day the swelling started, & pain--it has been over 3 weeks w/ little improvement. I am not exactly thrilled about orthopedics and am seeking to recover naturally. I believe the injury to be a tear in the medial meniscus (sp?). Presently I am: icing, elevating, on crutches, taking bromelain, TMG and Manganese Asporotate. Any other advice?
