Peapod is approaching a BIG birthday. Very important. She and her husband were spiriting themselves away for four precious nights on our beautiful SoWal beach (sans children!), but there's been a snag. Leeward II, the condo they'd rented, appears to have significant damage. Merman and I walked down on Saturday and saw sagging decks and missing boardwalks and a general mess. NOT romantic!

We need to find a new love nest so Peapod can celebrate in grand style. :wub: :wub:

Well, we don't necessarily have to be gulf-front, though that would be a bonus. When we travel with kids, just being at the beach in a decent rental is usually enough, but I think this trip we'd like to feel more "pampered," so a nicer, more adult place would be great. That rather broad requirement seems to spell Rosemary Beach to me, but that's just my thinking. I guess I don't need to say a quiet place, considering our time frame... Uh, definitely a part of the beach that is looking good, though! :D

What are your dates? I'll be glad to check and give you the Miss Kitty discount. Sounds like you might want the east end, but we would love for you to try WaterColor...2b 2 1/2ba unit above the Lily P store, just south of 30-A. Walk and bike wherever you need to go. Just put out a very cool double chaise lounge on the third level porch off master (NO, it is NOT that private!)...and the best romantic deal going is a walk on the beach holding hands!

Mermaid...we are all so lucky to have you! Thanks for looking out for the pea!
 
See, Peapod? Not even 24 hours later and you have two lovely ladies fighting for the opportunity to give you the best birthday ever! I've seen both their places and you can't go wrong. :clap_1:

(Note to gttbm and ss--today I drive down to Evansville to pick up my boy! Whoopee! College baby home for the holidays! :wub: )
