Francis Scott Key
Ira Gershwin
Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe

Dikki Du sounds interesting, but someone will have to let me hear them if they are around when I come down in October. They are a local band?

No Country :whack:

That's right. mango no do country music! :nono1: :puke:
Besides Mr. Mango  would fire me.

You don't need any music for fireworks. They weren't doing much singing on those battlefields when the bombs were going off. IMHO, I think we are way too distracted on these drinking holidays to really get the feel for that which they represent. ;-):D

Uh, where do you think the Star Spangled Banner came from?
"On Sept. 14, 1814, Francis Scott Key peered through clearing smoke to see an enormous flag flying proudly after a 25-hour British bombardment of Baltimore's Fort McHenry. Key was inspired to write a poem, which was later set to music." ;-)

We don't drink on 4th- since we have a permit to handle fireworks.
Patriotic music enhances the effects and overall feel of what the day means.

Mr. Mango and I have multiple fireworks events we are involved with. One is over a lake, and my husband has built a float for the fireworks, and his own design remote detonator that you can push the buttons on and it will fire 6 different ports from 1000 ft. away!

I am now in charge of the music choreography (and ground blooms :floor: )
I don't touch the heavy artillery.

Of course the 1812 Overture will be for the finale, I got the Washington Post March, God Bless America by Celine ( although I am getting the Boo Hah on that one  )

Looked around and can't find any other patriotic music that doesn't sound like a Marching Band, so I am going with contemporary fillers.

Need some ideas for upbeat music, something I can download from Itunes into my fireworks software.
NO, we do not do this for a living! ;-)
What!? You aren't going to come see the Macy's Fireworks? :(

Usually go by Boat down the Hudson with some friends, but they nixed it this year due to gas costs. Besides, why do that when I have Grucci fireworks here? I'll be taping that one this year. Thats' the best seat in the house.
Beats fighting smelly people and drunk crowds.
