I know this a very old thread............

I was supposed to be in that picture but no!!! So now! What it's everywhere!! I can't take it anymore! I am going to take a solo pic of me and Ollie will put it up b/c he feels sorry for me.

I love New York!

When are you going to move up here!

We have the president of Rwanda coming to the store today. I'm wearing a suit for the first time in 4 years.

NYC is crazy right now, huh? My husband just got back...Secret Service all over his hotel because of the UN meetings and Fashion Week to boot. I told him he was definitely at the wrong hotel...should have been with the super models! Also have a friend up there moving her daughter in her first apt. for her new job right out of college. Luckily she has an apt. of her own up there, but says the taxi cab meters just keep on clicking in the traffic jams!

If she wants to eat, she will learn to use her feet. Running shoes are a must in NYC. She can switch into the pumps when she gets to work.

You are right there! Mom was paying for the cabs while they "ran" all the errands. The daughter is very familiar with public transportation!! I actually gave the daughter a copy of a book called "City Chic" that helps one navigate living in the city on a budget!

I have that book City Chic! My mom gave it to me for Christmas last year! What kind of work is she getting into?

The city is nuts with Fashion Week. This is my first Fashion Week that I haven't been pulling long hours at. My life at an agency finally ended! It's so exciting though!

Mom's lucky if all she paid for is the cabs. Mine got to pay rent for a couple years. Which is a joke. I'm moving into my $1300 a month shoe box on Saturday...Talk about wasting money...

As for shoes... I wear my Reefs to work and all day until I have to get up from my desk!

She is starting with Federated later this month. She got a degree in Textiles and something else at Cornell. Don't worry...Daddy is a softie and will be helping her out! Mom is like me and says..."Congrats on your new job and bills!!!!" We have helped our daughter out, but rarely...she lives here, but is a psych. research assistant and it pays as "well" as you think!! She is heading back to grad school next year....she's no dummie, Dad will foot that bill!
