Any tip on the solution? I have just spent about an hour with Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover with very weak results. Won't the baking soda scratch the paint?

I would think any abrasive including bugs on your rag, will surely scratch that black show car.

Lovebugs got us good on the way home yesterday. Because our "new" car is just a used '96 pickup, we were free to bring it to one of those old fashioned abrasive, brush up-n-down drive thru car washes today. and Voila! No more lovin'.

I had forgotten about these little sob's until I drove to La. last week. :creepy: My truck and windshield were covered! Hate em! Went straight to the car wash.

RO, If you gonna pay, you have to pay! Trip to the beach = love bugs on your grill = detail!! Was it worth it?!!! I say   --Hell YEAH!!!

Probably payback from your "lovebug" behavior in the dunes!!! I feel your pain...I had to pay $150.00 last year to get those things removed after a trip to Houston. Nasty to paint!!
