Darlene and all: we met Mr. and Mrs. Bucket Head on Saturday at breakfast! They are both cute as hell! We wanted them to stay for breakfast, but I think they may have been a little tired & hung over from the night before and they had to go meet someone... we understand for shore! So, LL met me, kurt, sj, cj, mr. cj, the cryer, spidey, timmy (twt), kristen and laura. some are sowallers and some not.

That's a helluva big breakfast

Hi! This is my first official post. I so enjoyed meeting ya'll Sat morning and wish we would have had more time to visit. We had an impatient family member waiting to see us before he headed home, and we didnt want to upset him.
We did have a late evening Friday because we didnt arrive in SoWal until 11pm and of course we had to get our feet in the sand immediately! :D
It was a wonderful weekend and Saturday evening, we were treated to one of the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen. :clap_1: LL talked me into uploading some pictures I took of it - they should be in the photo gallery soon if I do it correctly. :idontno:
We really appreciate the hospitality and hope to get the chance to visit again soon. We are planning another weekend trip down there sometime in March - Walker will accompany us on this one. I cannot wait to get some pictures of him with that gorgeous sunset as the backdrop!

For the record, Mrs LL, I don't think either one of you are bucketheads. ;-) Come back and see us soon, and next time stick around a while.

:welcome: Mrs. LL!!! We adore your husband and son and now we can adore you!!! Please post often...we love the stories Wilma tells us and I bet you have some doozies as well!

Since your spousie is Wilma, can I call you Betty?:lolabove:

The sunset pics are beautiful!!

Here is a question for "those in the know"--

the house at the western end of Grayton Beach is still dangling over the beach (with the help of supports)- is there a demolition, repair, or rebuilding plan for this place? It's one of the "older style" houses that I like- would hate to see it replaced with a 28 bedroom place.

I don't know about that green house, but I see a bulldozer in the front yard of the lot with the mobile home on Defuniak St which Dread Clampitt use to rent.

WHAT? That place should be placed on the historic register.

According to one of Jack Saunders' (Balder's Dad) Books, the owner had wanted to open a restaurant there and he rented it to Dread Balder, Kyle and Justin while he tried to get the zoning changed. Either he gave up his idea, or failed on the zoning change, so I hear that is not in the works anymore. I just hope the bulldozer doesn't begin clearing those beautiful Oak Trees.
