As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a delightful array of hot and cold beverages, including an assortment of coffee, wine, beer, and delectable small bites. Your duties will encompass educating patrons on our diverse drinks menu, providing personalized recommendations, promoting special items, and efficiently processing orders. A successful candidate for this position will possess exceptional customer service skills, a keen understanding of brewing equipment, and a willingness to work flexible shifts. Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers upon their arrival
- Present drink menus and address inquiries regarding ingredients with professionalism
- Take precise orders, catering to individual preferences such as coffee blends and milk/sugar ratios
- Prepare beverages according to established recipes
- Serve beverages and accompanying fare, such as cookies, pastries, and muffins
- Process payments, both cash and credit card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the bar area
- Ensure an ample supply of clean mugs and plates are readily available
- Conduct routine checks on brewing equipment and promptly report any maintenance needs
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Relay customer feedback to management and suggest potential menu enhancements
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
- Proficient in operating brewing equipment
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and regulations
- Availability to work varying shifts as required
- Basic proficiency in mathematics
- Ability to discern and accommodate customer preferences
- Strong verbal communication skills
- High school diploma; additional training or certification is advantageous
