Gotothebeachmom, I have a bone to pick with you! You should have called me when PawPaw crashed the car into your house. I'd have been down the road in two seconds flat. We were at the beach last week, you know! ;-)
Crashing cars into houses is a specialty at our house, and Merman and I could have commiserated for hours about it. We regularly do it. Merman could have shown PawPaw the chunk that's missing out of his left rear wheel well from the time he ran into the deck. And I could have told him about the time I backed out of the garage without putting the door up. And then there's the steps to the stoop that I took out with one slow reverse. Or the deck chairs that I crunched, and then the following week, the beer cooler that I forgot to put away. It's so easy to crunch things around our house that we don't give it a second thought. We'd have shrugged off what PawPaw did to yours without any trouble!
(Just for the record though. Our house was built in the 20s to accomodate the Model T. It's not nearly as accomodating to modern cars and we're *luckily* not the only people who have trouble in the driveway, good thing, too, because we'd surely be feeling like the biggest driving nincompoops in the universe otherwise!)
