I like a good, happy story! please tell me something positive! You cain't scare me, Mr. Real Estate Man! If I told you the history of my house and how I came to own it, you'd think I was the luckiest dad-gummed woman in the world.
Sell it now, because it will be worth less tommorrow. Are you trying to flip it? Didn't the Realtor explain to you the risks? It won't appraise, and how can you get insurance? What if you try to park it on wetalnds? Is it built to code? Did you get a 30 year fixed rate? Are you the end user? What did the home sell for before? Why did they sell it? Hurricanes are coming and the beach is eroded and private. You"ll need a seawall, an engineer, an attorney and a minister. Why don't you rent, and what about the Save Our Homes mess? Beware of everyone and have a nice day.

It is worth 146% of what I paid for it in 1999. In 1999, it was worth 166% of what it was worth in 1991. In other words, the value has more than doubled (and darn near tripled) in 16 years.Sell it now, because it will be worth less tomorrow.
No, but I sure as heck could. If I were to retrofit central heat/air (at a cost of $3,000-$5,000) I would probably add $10-$15K to the price. I even think I could sell it with the market being so soft because it's affordable. Are you trying to flip it?
What Realtor? I bought it from my brother, who bought it from my mother, who inherited it from my grandparents, who bought it from the builder before it was finished in 1956.Didn't the Realtor explain to you the risks? What did the home sell for before? Why did they sell it?

I've had it appraised twice, and the appraisers always love it. Insurance is pretty good on it, but I don't live in Florida...What if you try to park it on wetlands? Hurricanes are coming and the beach is eroded and private. You"ll need a seawall, an engineer, an attorney and a minister.
Somehow I doubt it, but I'm slowly upgrading. Is it built to code?
You don't want to know! I'm a broke entrepreneur/college student!Did you get a 30 year fixed rate?
Not sure what that is, but a lot of smart-alecky answers come to mind! Are you the end user?
I rented it for 5 years from my brother, and he put all those rent payments toward equity. Pretty cool. Why don't you rent...?
