6) Gary Fisher Cake Full Suspension Mt. Bike*

* This is the ultimate gift of the year (Mom and Dad list) . Funny thing regarding this too, I told my parents I wanted this from them and my mom looked at me weird and I said "What's wrong?" and she says "Did you just say you wanted a Fisher Price Bike?"

7) A UGA Quarterback who does not fumble or try weird plays during potential turning points of the game.

Here's a little irreverent DeFuniak holiday history related to "the illuminations." A venerable physician, long since deceased, loved to decorate his lawn, even though it was considered in bad taste back then. But he could never decide between Santa and his 8 reindeer and the nativity, so he did both, one on either side of his front walkway. Well, the good doctor enjoyed his grog a lot. So he had a few too many pops the night he decorated and got all the characters from Santa's sleigh and the nativity mixed up. Several of the barnyard animals were pulling the sleigh, the reindeer were admiring the manger, the Baby Jesus was in the back of the sleigh, and various other indignities. All of this was topped off by floodlights. This is the only time I ever saw my father laugh until he cried.

And if you're good children, I'll tell you another Walton tale, closer to Christmas. It will be the story of how the country club burned up on Christmas Eve when the train came through.

I think those pops were the old variety when they used Cocaine as an ingredient in soda pop. I like these tidbits of history. Keep them coming.:D

You have such great stories!

Donna,

That's great! You have to think of some others before we get the fire story. That's too long to wait.

We have itty bitty attention spans on this board. We need some appetizers in between, please!
