so here's the story. at work we are having a "pot luck" lunch. of course i didn't plan ahead so i decide this morning between sowal'n and watching regis and kelly that i am going to just make a salad. so i figure i could use my food processor to cut the carrots and cucumbers up and they would look nicely sliced right? wrong. there are carrots all over the kitchen and they are finely chopped. not good.

You gotta get a Wustof chef's knife and take the time to chop it right. Food processors just pulverize things.
