Hey guys, just a quick update before Dr appoint. Would you believe the VA still hasn't started treatment on this "rapidly growing cancer" since September? Now they think he has a second cancer in the kidney so they did a CT scan guided biopsy last wednesday of the Kidney.......We wait a week for the results to find out that they "missed the kidney" That couldn't have been easy considering the CT scan showed it right on the money. I feel so bad he's having to go through so many of these painful tests
Anyway, another week for another appointment for another kidney biopsy which is next wednesday and then another week for the results. WTF?????? This is the VA hospital.
Sooooooo, I made an appointment yesterday for him at the Mayo Clinic in Jax. We're going there on the Monday after turkey day and they said we'll be there about 3 days and be ready to go with a gameplan.
That's the deal and I wish he would have let us take him to Mayo when this crap started. We all feel better about this (even him).
Their spirits have been just exceptional. I believe so much in the mind-body connection and have been doing everything possible to make them laugh every day. (Sunshine helps a lot in that department
).
Gotta run to "another" appt but love and miss you guys. Can't wait for the ornament party and to get my butt drinking some vino on some trains with the Allicat!
BTW Allie, had Rt's girlfriend bring my passport down here for me so that I could get that renewed ASAP. Still checking flights. Would like to fly in a little further south than Cologne so we can take the train to Amsterdam and catch the best castles from Mainz to Koblenz. Hang in there, soon. Also email me your DOB .
