I think another interesting question would be "how many hours do you spend on sowal.com when you are vacationing somewhere else?" We were vacationing in Waikiki (I had a conference there earlier in the week) and I checked out sowal.com from an Internet cafe to see what was going on (Ok, and a bit during the conference as well).
Contrary to what we had expected, we loved Waikiki Beach. I had never been to a "city on the beach". Beautiful calm water, lots of casual and fine restaurants right on the beach, interesting people watching, great sunsets, great snorkling nearby, lots of activities for kids, etc. We'll go back there someday and we were quite sad to leave. We also had the concerns associated with cities on the beach, horrible traffic -- we drove around one day and decided not to do that ever again, some not-so-pleasant smells every now and then, safety concerns especially in early mornings and at night. Of course, there's no place like SoWal!

By the way, my work hours are flexible so I really couldn't say how many hours I spend on sowal.com during work. In total, I probably spend between 5-10 hours each week on this site even though I'm on it less when I'm actually in the office (but I don't have to be in the office much anyway, especially with the Internet).
A question that's even more important to me is "how many hours do you spend on SoWal.com (or on the computer in general -- email, surfing, etc.) when you could be spending that time with your family?" I'm working on turning the computer off in the evenings and on weekends so I won't be tempted to see what's going on in SoWal.com or at work or in the world.
I should reward myself with chocolate for every evening that I don't turn on the computer even for "just a few minutes" which tends to turn into much longer periods of time... Really, I'm going to start tomorrow, yeah tomorrow, really tomorrow, just after I finish readings these threads...

I am lucky enough to be able to be on SoWal.com as long as I have to "work" to earn a living. I don't commute, I sit not in a cubicle farm, and most of my white shirts are "T"s.
