We got a call Tuesday from the animal shelter that MacGregor came from- they have a little girl dog that looks like him and is very sweet. I tried to put it out of my mind.....but I caved and Kate and I looked at her on Wednesday. Loved her. We are all going in a few minutes with MacGregor and see how they do together, and if all goes well (and I'm sure it will), I will have gone from no dogs to 2 dogs in a mere month.

I'll post pics later. She is very girlie. We are working on a name- the shelter had named MacGregor, which we didn't change because our last name is Scottish. We are trying to find a good Scottish girl name!

Geez, there is really something seriously wrong with me lately!

But a nice sucker! Good for you jdarg! Keep us posted! :clap_1:

Good for you! Nothing wrong there! That's how we have 3 dogs and 5 cats so far. We would probably have more but the vet bills can be so high.

Scottish names: www.20000-names.com/female_scottish_names.htm

Keep us informed!

Nothing wrong with you!!!! You have a kind and giving nature. We need more jdarg's in this world. I hope it's love at first sight ! We had a sweet little Bonny that we lost last year. Bonny and MacGregor has a nice ring ehhh?

Let us know how it goes!

My kind of sucker!!! This could be the best "buy" of the day!!!

heh
You could call her Lassie. (I know, I know.)
Or Bonnie. :)

I am a sucker, too. My husband is not thrilled about it but we seem to have taken on a new kitten, not sure of its age, somewhat of a stray, the neighbors have been feeding it but they already have a new baby and two goats and a dog.
We already have an ancient cat and two large dogs, ourselves. Ah well.

She is home and I am beat! Her name is Fiona. She and MacGregor have finally settled down- even took a little nap awhile ago. Now she is half standing and half on my lap!

I don't think she is housebroken or definitely not spayed. She had been tied to a tree in a rednecky county south of Louisville, then was "librerated" and ended up at the shelter here. She knows how to sit and shake, but is a garbage scrounger, counter jumper, and is terrified by the brush.

Gotta go- she just peed in the front hall. Clean up on aisle one! She gets a few free passes today, but tomorrow starts doggy boot camp!

jdarg, you have a heart of gold and you will be amply rewarded! My sister and her family took in a pug that answered to much the same description of Fiona. It took them almost a year to get Archie (he came pre-named) up to speed and she nearly tore her hair out a dozen times, but was it evvvvver worth it. Archie is a darling of a dog and so will Fiona be.

Here is Miss Fiona- maybe- I can't tell if we got the pic posted or not :idontno:

A few goofy dog pics are in my photo album.

Time to eat the leftovers- I'll start with the wine!

I'm sure Fiona will graduate with honors from puppy boot camp. She's a keeper!
