I'm sure you'll be kind of sad but like you said, maybe in a few years when your son goes off to school you can buy again and live in SoWal year round! Sounds like a great plan to me. There are so many rentals available and places to explore, you can do that in the mean time.

Enjoy your two days!! After you explained why you were selling,it seems as tho you are doing the right thing. Take some of the money you are spending on keeping your place at Sowal and vacation when you want to. Know it is not like having your own place, but there is something to be said by just bringing your toothbrush,change of clothes and not worring about what needs to be done while you are there. As I am typing this I am thinking maybe I need to take my own advise? Seems we never get there anymore. Back in the late 80's we used to rent for a month, looking back we always hated to leave, but once we were gone we just looked forward to our next trip. Didn't have to worry about insurance and upkeep. Our Grandaughter graduates from highschool this year so maybe next year we can spend more time at the beach. If not we may also sell. Think you should be able to sell right away as the price seems to be right. My friend sold a one bedroom in Crystal beach across the street from the beach last year and got about the same as you are asking for a two bedroom. Good luck on your sale and you can always turn around and buy again if you find something you like.

Thanks for that! This is been on my mind for months now. I really put my heart into my place. I bought it unfurnished and it was a mess. Everyone up here is telling me just sell it! but they have no clue how the water looks at Dawn! I know I need to let go... it's hard This was the first thing I did by myself since I been divorce. Yes I bought It after I was divorced and the place is a reflection of who I am. So it is hrad to say good bye...sarahj said:

Dabell, it takes someone with a lot of spunk to locate and buy a vacation home on their own. From the pictures I can tell it is a wonderful, colorful place. You can be proud of your judgment to buy it and am sure you will profit from your investment. It's only natural to be sad about letting it go. I can tell from reading your post your family and your business is also a reflection of who you are. At this time in your life you are doing what you think is best for them and I applaud you.
