I Need Photo Uploading Help!

Just checked again and they are jpg's and the size is 640 x 480 :idontno:
I just had to reduce one to 600x450 to get it to upload. The compression algorithm for jpg's isn't good for images with certain characteristics. So you just have to keep reducing it down in increments until it's small enough for this board to accept.

After the upload fails the message doesn't say it was because of size. It says something like No image found :idontno:

BUT I will try reducing :bang:

I am able to attach jpg 's 600x450 to the posts. When uploading photos to my album, I am able to upload images with sizes of 3264 x 2448. Wish I could help, but I am missing something.

Never seen that happen. Do a screenshot (hit Print Scrn) of the error, paste it (Ctrl-v) it into the photo editing software you use, and send it as an attachment to beachrunner@earthlink.net. I'll try to debug the error, although I've never had that error message myself. I do have to frequently downsize my images to get them to the right image size and file size for this board.

I'll be awake for a few more minutes, but I'm about to crash out of sheer exhaustion after the Gator victory today!

Sounds like you're trying to upload from a temp file or the wrong folder. Have you saved them on your hard drive?. Not sure about the Pentax software but try opening up the pics after the usb is connected, highlight the photos you want (click control to multiple highlight), right click and try the "send to" or "save as" function.

Done that :bang:

Don't know anything about your camera but found this on an "upload troubleshoot Pentax" search. could this have anything to do with it?

Switching between the internal memory and an SD/MMC card is difficult and you can?t review images stored in the internal memory unless you remove the SD/MMC card. I don?t know why Pentax didn?t include a buffer. '

It's awful odd that you can upload to other sites and not the board. I wonder if it's the ftp that the board uses. Did find some mention on the web about compatibility with different ftp clients.

Also found something about xp service pack 2. Has you computer automatically updated xp on you?

You may be on to something here. My puter is set for automatic updates. I'll work on it tonight again.
