I had a Trojan like this once and it was so smart it wouldn't let me run the malware bytes software after installing it.

The workaround was to rename the malware .exe filename and then it wasn't able to stop me from running it.

Hope this helps even one person. Took me many hours to fix this issue...

The best bet is to download, and then restart in safe mode. Safe mode can be started by pressing the F8 key before windows loads. It'll bring up a menu asking how you would like to load windows.

Glad you got it zapped. I have a 'pop up' blocker that stops them from taking over your screen......have you tried that, too?
