How about a discussion on which 'oppressed' country we help next?

Here are the candidates and the pertinent data (including the 2010 estimates of the amount of 'oppression', measured in barrels under in their country):

• Syria - 2.5B BB
• Iran - 150B BB
• Yemen - 11.9B BB
• Bahrain - 124.6 BB
• Jordan - 500 BB

Based on these facts, I think we can outright dismiss the folks of Syria and Yemen as not all that 'oppressed'.

Initially, these facts indicate that the Jordanians are the most 'oppressed', but they aren't since it turns out that most of that oppression is in shale and not super easy to get to. Their 'oppression' will be more important in the future when a lot of their neighbors easy-to-reach oppression is removed.

That leaves the people of Iran as the next most 'oppressed', but they might have enough weaponry to defend themselves in an unpleasant manner so we've excused them for now.

I think if I were in a position of authority in Bahrain, I'd be gearing up for the attacks that are sure to come to free the 'oppressed' in my country.

There are rumblings in Washington that Syria is next. Normally I wouldn't worry much about that but these days where there's a rumble there's a war starting.
