IC? Did you ever hear of it?

I been in the hospital. I have IC and from working A LOT caused me great pain ( I am on my feet, standing in on place ). There is no cure for IC - Interstital Cystitis.
One of the Talk shows ( I missed it ), Talked about it and how so many people have it. I was diagnosed with it about 6 years ago. The pain is REALLLY BADDD and this time really took me by surprise. I can't stand or walk without pain. So, this means I can't work! I had to do a job this morning so,I took a pain killer ( knowing when I got home the pain would be worse) and did the job at 5 am to 9 am. The only reason I even did it was I couldn't find anyone to cover for me. I know you must be saying : she only worked for 4 hours". Yes I did but is was 4 hours to long! I am in pain now! And my basement is Flooded! And and and....

Does anyone know of any new anything for Interstital Cystitis?

I am sorry to hear of your pain. I had never heard of IC until your post. I did a search on it and it really does sound painful, not to mention inconvenient! It sounds as if antibiotics don't even work.
Good luck to finding some kind of relief or management.

I just did the same thing because I also did not know what it was.
Dabell, I'm sorry you were in the hospital and I hope they find something that helps you soon. Take care.

Dabell, wow sounds like you are just having a heck of a time. I truly hope that you find some type of relief, I hope this wont keep you down too long....

Dabell, thank you for enlightening us. I had never heard of IC, but there have been other conditions I have (some I still do) and it is awful to be in such pain, especially when at work or when you have to call in, and it is hard to talk about, and NOBODY understands.
