Beach Comber
Hello SoWal...

I am working on a freelance piece about the most recognizable destinations, landmarks and "views" along 30A. I am looking for places that the tourists are probably familiar with, but more importantly spots that only those who are native to the area would find and frequent. I would like for this piece to showcase the true "30A" community and what makes it so special. Any information that can be provided would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Having a BBQ dinner and some drinks and listening to live music at Sally's Sea Store in Blue Mountain Beach and then grabbing some Dog Food to take home because it's also a convenience store. Classic!

That's funny - my dad has a hat from this place -

There's the view at the top of the page, probably the most photographed area on 30A.

Certain areas of Seaside, once it's been in a movie it usually gets recognized.

The Red Bar, just ask Sheryl Crow. ;-)

The Rosemary Beach community center if you've ever watched Karl Rove on Fox.

Eden State Gardens, it's the grand southern home with beautiful grounds you always envision when thinking of the south, but you still immediately recognize it in pictures.

My little corner of 30A

At one time or another, everyone seams to come through Modica Markets doors.
Every season has a different look and feel.
Spring will be filled with Collage kids and Families getting away from the cold, cold north.
Summer is the season of bear feet, lemonade and World Famous Ice Tea.
Fall is the return of the school kids, 2 decades of children who were raised on Buffalo chicken bites and big cookies.
Winter we are place for locals and Snow Birds to come in and drink wonderful coffee and Hot chocolate and enjoy those Lunch Specials.
We have everything from bobby pins to Champagne and we would just as soon have our local work crews and office workers in for lunch as have those celebrities who just want a tub of pimiento cheese or a latte.
There is also the movie and the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Modica and Charlie are part of the fabric of Seaside.
