Beach Fanatic
I know, it's a provacative title. It's obvious the taxpayers are fed up.
Currently, the hot topic is the City of Freeport. The venom that is spewing is almost understandable, and people are venting and right now and the target is Fire Chief Greenslait and the officials of the City of Freeport.
Last night I read the Northwest Florida Daily News article on the topic and I was disgusted, not by the Chief's or the City of Freeport's actions, but by the comments left after the article was published. Most of the commenters are just venting their frustrations. Some posts are from Seattle! The climate is nasty and it is not accomplishing anything, other than showing what idiots some posters are.
I am not defending the officials actions, but trying to see past the crap and uncover a solution and it will not be done with negtivity. So I have a few thoughts about random posters.
1. If you do not know what is really going on, don't post.
2. If you have an agenda, speak up. Give ideas/solutions.
3. Some thought prior to posting will help, especially if you want to help. If you don't want to help, give some thought about why you are posting.
I wonder how many of the posters are willing or qualified to run for public office? How many would be willing to in the current climate?
Being positive and compassionate will go along way, even if the poster does not have a solution. (The latter would make a boring post and that is my point)
OK, I vented...would love to hear your comments.
