It appears that some well intentioned people at Bethel Presbyterian Church in DeFuniak Springs are willing to jeapordize their IRS 501(c)3 status in support of Jimmy Macon, candidate for the Sherrif's office.
Mr. Macons quarterly financial report filed with the Walton County Supervisor of Elections office.
Below is listed the line from his most recent filing:

A church body is barred under the 501(c)3 category from engaging in partisan political activity.
Mr. Macon's acceptance of the contribution is apparently not a barred donation, but the church could loose it tax exempt status.
Mr. Macon and all candidates for office should make sure that all of their donations are above question !
