Had a grayt time at the beach on 30a. Hopefully will get some pics up soon. Great weather... had a shark ( think it was a bull) swim about 5 yds away from me on the sand bar. Saw it coming from about 25 yds away. Not alot of funn. The Life guard came out as I was coming in (alot of help he was), said he had been watching it. Drank some cold ones read a good book and enjoyed great seafood. Work today was no fun but I will be back next month to do some fishing.

glad you haad a grayt time bd! :clap_1:

Did you get to fish? i have been waiting to hear. I saw a small shark between the sandbars two weeks ago;I was wearing goggles...really small one, not a bull (unless a pup). Pretty cool stuff.

A shark....oh my...

Guess you gotta expect that though if you're gonna go in their world. Glad you had funn....sounds like a good trip.

I heard that the lifeguard closed the beach at Ed Walline Park last week due to sharks in the area.:funn:(I am not kidding. I just think it is funny). Also, I heard that about two weeks ago, a bunch of people reported seeing an Alligator(about 10 ft long) in the Gulf somewhere between Grayton and Dune Allen. :idontno: It is mating season for the Gators and they have been spotted in the Gulf before.

Yesterday, I went out on the kayak and saw no sign of any sea creatures other than a few small Jelly Fish and one group of bait fish. :(... but it was still a nice trip.

Smiley J- Didn't you say there were a couple shark sightings the week we were down there?

One of my good friends is an airline pilot. His first paying gig back in the day was towing those banners behind a plane up and down the beach. He said it amazed him to consistently see large sharks swimming among oblivious people.
