TillerJeff, you know my clan has been encouraging you to spread your wings and strike out on your own. The business is there, you are amazing at what you do, you have boundless energy.....do you need a $$$ backer?? LOL

TJ has worked on Hummie, KaBuelah (Kabota RTV) the Jeep, my boat, the worn out treadmill, and my trailer!!!! Maybe even the lawn tractor.....he can do so much I can't keep up.

Jeff, you will do just fine.

I just got your posting and it is too late to call you (24/7) I'm not calling at 1 am for a quote lol. Call me after 12 or, I'll call you but I do hope to speak with you by 12 noon.. holiday weekend and all. Aleigh 317-294-7356

I think the possibility of success question has been answered. Getting the word out so that you have enough income to replace what you had will be a bit more work.

Business cards should be a first step. Sowal will help alot. Eventually word of mouth will go a long way with locals who know you.

Get the business cards in front of the sheriff and highway patrols who stop to check on broke down travelers and now they have a source to get them rolling again without having to be towed or an overnighter in a strange town.

Mobile Mechanic

Due to recent events at work I'm thinking of becoming a mobile auto mechanic. I'm looking to see what everyone thinks of the idea.

I think it is a great idea and know of others that would use your service as well as myself.

Anything on the fuel pump?

I used a mobile mechanic for my cycle earlier this year. If you've got references, and don't charge $85.00 an hr, plus tax, word of mouth will get you more business than you'll dream of. And, I would call when needed. Get some business cards handed out.

Hey Tiller,

My dad has been an Auto Mechanic for pretty much all of his life. He had his own business for 26 years (in another state) and recently closed it down to retire.
He is an honest and reliable person and his business grew tremendously!
Now he has decided to open another shop next to there home and already has a waiting list.
My point being, if your honest, don't rip people off, and stand behind your work
you should do pretty well.
Cars will always break. You, like the medical profession, will always be needed.
Good luck to you!

Aleigh, the fuel pump for your firebird is about $350. Sorry it took so long to get back with you as the fuel pump in my truck went out as well.

Tillerjeff, can you fix the horn and cruise? I have a feeling this issue is somehow related and I really like to use both.....sometimes at the same time.
